The next day was the 4th
of July. As those of you in America celebrated our nation’s independence we ventured out to honor the independence of Lesotho. Years ago, King Moshoeshoe led his troops up the mountain to escape enemies who were approaching. Throughout his time there, no enemy was able to conquer the mountain and attack Moshoeshoe’s troops. We set out to conquer Thaba Bosiu and we were victorious. Once up the mountain we saw some breath taking sights and the burial sight, meeting grounds, and home of the great King Moshoeshoe. After the hike we had the afternoon off, some of us ventured into Roma, others hiked to see the sunset, and the rest just relaxed at Thorns.

Hey Tori, did the mountains remind you of the battle fields we walked when you were little?
I’m sure it meant alot more to you now than it did then.

This message is to Kent and Ben-
I miss my brothers! Mmm Belli Belli loves everyone and misses the kids! Kent, your mom sounds like an amazing person and I back everything she says, even if it embarasses you. Hold down the Man Cave and know that all of us from trip 1 are jealous of you guys. Tell Rosenberg the Mets are terrible and the Phillies just swept them. Oh, and make sure you use your scare tactics. Much love from the States!

Hello Kent,
We continue to look for pictures and notes and anything we can find from your trip. We love hearing from you and the group. Everything here is fine and we are starting to have nice summer weather. Dad is enjoying his new golf clubs and going to John’s baseball games. We love the thought of you coming home too. We know that it will be a little bit of a culture shock coming home especially since you spent another month in Lesotho. We are so proud of your work Kent and all you are doing. God Bless you.
love, Mom
