Stop Toying with my Emotions

As an Ohio native, I shouldn’t be surprised.  Every year the weather in this area is so unpredictable that it you can expect wearing a coat in the morning and shorts in the evening.  This is not a rarity.  But for some reason, it still always simply amazes me.

Two days ago the roads were so snowy and icey it was unsafe to drive.  I even heard reports that some people were unable to get up the hill outside Weaver chapel.  Today?  Raining, hard.  No snow in sight and I saw people comfortably wearing t-shirts out today.

I counted three Indian summers this year.  That’s when the weather gets cold and is supposed to stay cold, yet for a 2-4 day stretch gets really warm, like 70 degrees.   Who knows, in Ohio I wouldn’t be too surprised to see one before the end of the year.

All I’m saying is that I just wish that Mother Nature would decide what she wants to do.  I enjoy the sunny weather in December as much as the next person but it just throws me on an emotional roller coaster.  Please, Ohio, just make up your mind!
