It’s late in the break, but better late than never, eh?
Starting with finals, not terrible, not great though. I’m over them, they weren’t terribly difficult, the papers especially. I feel as if I could have done better on my calculus exam, but I also knew as soon as I was finished with it I was going home, so that clouded my mind a little.
The first week there were not many of my home town kids around, so I went back to work at my job at Barnes & Noble. Believe it or not, I missed that job when on campus, so it was nice to return. When all my friends got back in town, I started to become the slacker I was meant to be just hanging out and relaxing every day and night. Christmas came and went, nothing too exciting there. I got what every college kid needs - money - so I guess it was successful.
New Years was a different story. I drove out toward Youngstown to spend the night with some of the Wittenberg kids who live on my floor. That was bundles of fun, we relived some of Witt’s best traditions away from campus.
But with that done, it almost seems pointless to be home now. Holidays are over, and while it’s nice to be home, I’m ready to go back. Oh well, I’ll be back Sunday night. Hopefully the weather doesn’t get bad and there is no traffic.
