Busy busy

Well I swore I already wrote a post about this like a week or two ago, but I guess I never actually published it.  My bad.

The beginning of the semester is going well, all my classes are really interesting so far.  We had to watch all three installments of The Matrix for one of my classes, which was really interesting.  In fact, I have a test over all that tomorrow so I may be keeping this short.  All my other classes have just been busy work, but I’m sure it will all come get me soon.

Rush week was last week, which was way cool.  I didn’t pledge this semester but I definitely plan on it for next semester.  Guys’ rush is way easy and relaxed; we got free dinners all week long from steak to chipotle to eat-out mexican.  I also went to play dodgeball one night at one of the houses.  I really can’t wait for informal rush next semester.

Besides that I’ve just been hanging out.  I went to a concert last night in Columbus.  I got to see my favorite band, All Time Low, along with Every Avenue, Just Surrender, and Mayday Parade, which were all great.  One of the great things about Springfield, OH is that we are really close to Columbus and Dayton, making trips like that possible.

That’s about it for now–

Winter Break

It’s late in the break, but better late than never, eh?

Starting with finals, not terrible, not great though. I’m over them, they weren’t terribly difficult, the papers especially. I feel as if I could have done better on my calculus exam, but I also knew as soon as I was finished with it I was going home, so that clouded my mind a little.

The first week there were not many of my home town kids around, so I went back to work at my job at Barnes & Noble. Believe it or not, I missed that job when on campus, so it was nice to return. When all my friends got back in town, I started to become the slacker I was meant to be just hanging out and relaxing every day and night. Christmas came and went, nothing too exciting there. I got what every college kid needs - money - so I guess it was successful.

New Years was a different story. I drove out toward Youngstown to spend the night with some of the Wittenberg kids who live on my floor. That was bundles of fun, we relived some of Witt’s best traditions away from campus.

But with that done, it almost seems pointless to be home now. Holidays are over, and while it’s nice to be home, I’m ready to go back. Oh well, I’ll be back Sunday night. Hopefully the weather doesn’t get bad and there is no traffic.
